Last night we indulged in some ice cream...you'll never guess what I added to it...
Salt.
Yep! I sprinkled a little sea salt over our ice cream and it was a total game changer. I can't take credit for this discovery though. I went to a restaurant not too long ago here in Brooklyn called St. Anselm. It was one of the best meals I've had all year. And for dessert, they served us this salty + sweet combo. Our server told us they added a little salt, and from that point on, I didn't look at dessert in the same way!
I urge you to try this tip! Would love to know what you guys think. :)

I had salted caramel chocolate last week on vacation, and it was probably the best treat I had ever tasted!!! I now want to salt my dulce de leche Haagen Daz ice cream... You may be on to something!!!
I love salted caramel and salted chocolate! I discovered them not so long ago, but now I can't live without it!!!
This is such an original and great idea, I need to try it this weekend! Thanks for the tip!
Have a great weekend!

This sounds so interesting and really easy! Now I really want to try it, but I don't have any ice cream here...hmm. Does it 'work' with every variety? Vanilla for example?
Are you guys in Brooklyn? I had some salted crack caramel from Ample Hill, and the name says it all so addictive. We tried at Hester St. Fair a few weeks ago so delish.
Yum! I've started adding salt to several sweet things...I top homemade gooey rice crispy treats with sea salt...so good!
