Hot Chocolate + Good Book = Perfect Snow Day

Another snow day here in New York. But I think this time we, New Yorkers, are ready for it!

I'm working half day then intend on heading home to hibernate with hot chocolate, my favorite blanket + my latest book, Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, where rambunctious Chef Anthony Bourdain chronicles his early days in the restaurant business. So far it's hilarious + awesome. (and I've learned: don't order fish on Mondays!)

Have a dreamy weekend...

Yes, it's Friday! Hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow night. For my birthday present, Alex got us Broadway tickets to La Cage aux Folles. Even though we live in New York, we rarely go to see shows. Tickets are kinda pricey + we get busy with "stuff". But it's always a treat when we go. My favorite movie as a kid was Fame (photo above), so I still get awestruck by the twinkling lights of the stage.
